Access Levels & Keys
Lygos uses level-based access control, not permission or role-based authentication. Access is managed through different keys, each granting a specific level of functionality.
Key Types & Access:
Screen Key
- Can only summon screen clients
- Shown on the Launcher window of the Server or Settings in Management Clients
- Minimal access to system resources (security-wise)
- To be used on screen clients who are not suppose to control or manage
Control Key
- Can summon control clients
- Shown on the Launcher window of the Server or Settings in Management Clients
- These clients interact with visualizations and control screenspaces on limited scale which can be reverted after sessions.
- Cannot edit/configure layouts, visualizations, media
- Compared to the Control QR, this can control all screenspaces
User Keys
- Created via Management Clients with higher privileges
- Limited editing abilities:
- Can edit layouts
- Cannot edit screenspaces (Videowall Setup)
- Cannot use power functions (e.g., wake/restart/shutdown) screens of videowall nodes or dashboards.
- Ideal for non-admin users needing access to visualization, media, map configuration and layout deployment.
Management Key
- Allows full use of Management Clients
- Can configure/edit/control all visualization, media, maps, layouts.
Super Admin Access (Management Client summoned from Server itself)
- Full administrative privileges
- Can create and manage all keys, screenspaces, and configurations
