Installation & Configuration
Each Lygos Network should contain 1 server instance. That means one of the PC devices running lygos software should be in local mode (server) and other should connect to it with remote mode.
You can use one of the devices that display screen, control or management clients as server. However, we recommend have a separate PC other than videowall screen nodes to assign as server if you have a large videowall.
PC - Server Mode (Local)
A PC version of the software in Local (Server) Mode
Steps:
- Download Lygos Software
- Install it on a PC (Windows/Mac/Linux)
- Launch the software
- Select Local Mode (Server Mode)
Once active, you can summon multiple:
- Screen Clients
- Management Clients (with full privileges)
- Control Clients
All screen clients, whether launched locally or remotely, will appear in the Display Module and can be added to Screenspaces to form seamless videowalls where each act as a distributed screen node.
PC - Client Mode (Remote)
A PC version of the software in Remote (Client) Mode
Steps:
- Download Lygos Software
- Install it on a PC (Windows/Mac/Linux)
- Launch the software
- Select Remote Mode
To connect to the server :
- Use Master Keys, User Keys, or QR Codes provided by the
- Server IP address on local network will be displayed on launcher of the server.
- Master keys are displayed at Launcher of the Server and have 3 levels (Management/Control/Screen).
- Users keys and QR codes can be accessed from Settings / Keys pages on the management client of the server.
Can summon multiple:
- Screen Clients
- Management Clients
- Control Clients
TABLET (Remote Mode)
Tablets can only operate in Remote Mode.
To connect:
- Use Master Keys, User Keys, or scan a Control QR Code.
Capabilities:
- Can display one Client of your choice (depends on privilege level of your connection key provided).
