FileWatch

FileWatch allows you to monitor files on the server as dynamic data sources within Lygos.

📁 Supported File Types

  • CSV
  • XLSX
  • JSON
  • XML
  • TXT

🔄 Live Data Updates

  • Once imported, FileWatch copies your file to the server and create a copy and continuously monitors it (the one on the server).
  • Any external changes to this file (e.g., edits or updates) are automatically reflected in your visualizations that use this as data source in real time.

🧩 Use Cases

  • If you have an external analytics process/script, constantly updating or dumping data to a file, you can point it to this file at Lygos Server and any changes to it will be streamed to visualizations that uses this as data source.
  • You can specify the Data format of this file from Data Format Tool. (Data Format Tool converts the contents of the file to JSON format, so it can be formatted using this tool)
