The Quiz module empowers you to build and host interactive, real-time trivia games directly within your Lygos environment. Whether you are driving audience engagement during a corporate training session or gamifying a large scale presentation across a massive video wall, this tool allows players to seamlessly join and compete using their mobile devices. Featuring an intuitive question editor, customizable styling, and comprehensive host controls to manage QR code access, countdown timers, and live leaderboards, you can easily deliver a highly engaging and competitive interactive experience. 

How to create and display quiz on video walls and dashboards


🛠️ Quiz Editor
In the editor, you’ll find:

  • Quiz Creator: Compose questions and answer choices.
  • Settings Panel: Customize quiz behavior and appearance.

➕ Add a Question:

  1. Type your question.
  2. Provide 4 answer options and select the correct one.
  3. Optionally, upload an image for the question.
  4. Use the Remove Image button to delete the image if needed.
  5. Click Next to create the next question.

🔄 Navigate & Manage:

  • Use Previous and Next to browse through your questions.
  • Press Delete to remove a question.

🎨 Style Settings

  • Customize:
    • Background Color
    • Font Color
    • Font Family
  • Question Time: Set how many seconds players have to answer. Faster answers earn more points.

👤 Usernames

  • Random usernames automatically.
  • Usernames appear on the scoreboard between questions.

🕹️ How to Play

  1. Create and deploy your quiz to a Layout.
  2. The host opens Control and clicks Show QR.
  3. Players scan the QR with their devices to join the quiz website.
  4. Players can choose a username and avatar.
  5. Once everyone is ready, the host clicks Start Quiz.
  6. Players answer from their devices while watching the question and options on the screen.
  7. A countdown timer is shown for each question.
  8. Once an answer is submitted, it cannot be changed.

🎛️ Control Quiz Flow

Control is handled manually by the host via the Control Module:

  1. Show QR: Display the QR code and player count.
  2. Start Quiz: Show the first question and begin countdown.
  3. Number of Answers: Reveal how many players selected each option.
  4. Correct Answer: Show the correct option on screen.
  5. Show Scoreboard: Display player scores after each question.
  6. Show Leaderboard: After the last question, show the top 3 players.
  7. Restart Quiz: Reset Control cycle.
