Cast
The Cast module enables you to seamlessly share live screens from local or remote computers directly into your Lygos environment. Whether you are presenting a slide deck in a conference room or mirroring critical software dashboards across a collaborative video wall, this tool allows users to easily broadcast their entire desktop or specific browser tabs. Operating on a secure, server based connection, it features intuitive controls to select, refresh, and manage multiple castable devices, ensuring your team can instantly share exactly what they are seeing in real-time.
🔗 Connection Setup
- All users must be connected to the same server.
- To connect:
- One user starts the server in Local Mode.
- Other users join in Remote Mode, entering the server user's IP address and password.
📡 How to Start Casting
- When you start a screen cast, your computer is added to the Castable Devices list in Lygos.
- As the cast creator, click on your created cast to view your screen in the editor.
- Select a screen/tab to cast from the available sources.
- If your tab is not listed or a new tab was opened, click Refresh Sources.
- Other users will see your cast listed under Screen Casting.
- They can click on it to view your live screen.
🧹 Managing Casts
- To remove a cast, go to the Screen Casting list, click Edit Visualization, and then click Delete.
